USB viewing
The shortest path to a live picture.
USB viewing needs a data cable, an unlocked trusted iPhone and Camera permission if requested. Optional touch and keyboard control has a separate setup.
1. Connect a data cable
Connect your iPhone directly to the Mac with a cable that supports data. A charge-only cable can supply power without exposing the phone for capture. If it is missing, try another data cable or a direct Mac port.
2. Unlock and trust
Unlock on the physical iPhone. Accept Trust This Computer or accessory prompts if shown, and enter the passcode on the phone. Glint cannot complete those approvals for you.
3. Allow Camera access
USB iPhone video appears through macOS capture services. Allow Camera access when requested. If access was denied, open macOS System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and review Glint’s permission, then retry.
4. Select the phone
Choose the USB device in Glint. Start in Mirror only mode. Wait for fresh frames and verify that the picture changes when you move on the phone.
The USB guide separates Cable, Trust, Mac and Video. Check for iPhone refreshes detection and provides feedback. If macOS requests a software update to connect, complete that system update and retry.
