Wi-Fi streaming

Pair with this Mac once, then leave the cable behind.

Check before you start

Live Wi-Fi requires iOS 27+, Developer Mode, compatible developer services, Glint’s configured native runtime, and first-time trusted USB pairing. Keep the phone awake and unlocked. Wi-Fi remains experimental.

1. Prepare your phone and Mac

Live Wi-Fi video in this build requires iOS 27+, Developer Mode, a compatible developer image and Glint’s configured native runtime. Read Developer setup before pairing. The app checks readiness; it does not install developer services.

2. Pair once over trusted USB

  1. Connect USB and unlock the iPhone.
  2. Accept Trust if requested.
  3. Open Wi-Fi setup in Glint and choose Prepare pairing.
  4. Wait for pairing to succeed before disconnecting USB.

Accepting Trust alone is not the complete wireless preparation. An already paired phone can skip this first-time step on the same configured Mac.

3. Connect on the same Wi-Fi

Unplug USB. Keep both devices on the same reachable Wi-Fi and the iPhone awake and unlocked. Allow Local Network access if macOS asks. Select the phone’s Wi-Fi row in Devices. Glint waits for live video before displaying the stream.

Everyday use and recovery

Glint remembers the selected Wi-Fi connection and retries temporary failures. A loading or restoring state means fresh video is still pending. It is not evidence that the phone is ready for input. Use Cancel if you want to stop an attempt.

No AirPlay session or companion iPhone app is needed. Reliability and long-session behavior are still experimental; USB viewing remains an alternative.
